Jocelyn Swanberg. My name is a mouthful of letters.

I am a Senior this year. With a full year next year to go before I graduate. I am just over halfway through the Dual Endorsement program (Eled K-8/SpEd P-12). My ideal job (at the moment) is a working in a resource room specifically with students who need help maintaining appropriate behaviour. I have some desire to continue my studies of American Sign Language and work with students who are Deaf or hard of hearing, but WWU doesn't offer any ASL classes currently.

I have a pre-contract set up with Seattle Public School's (it's not what you know, it's who you know!) so I plan on spending my first 5 years of teaching in one of it's 92 public elementary schools.

I would love to eventually get a job with the Lynden School District - it's my dream job.

I'm excited to solidify my skills in using technology as well as garner many new ones that I will be able to use in my future classrooms!

I am currently taking 18 credits and working 40+ hours a week. This quarter is going to be absolutely awesome. A little trying, but so rewarding come Christmas break.
